Framewise reads your Fortnite settings file, your Windows power, capture and notification settings, your GPU driver version and what is running in the background. It doesn't open the game.
Free public beta for Windows · checked against Fortnite v42.40
Framewise looks at your PC and your own Fortnite settings, explains what is making frames stutter and fixes it with one click. Every change can be undone.
It stays outside the game: no memory access, no injected code, nothing near Easy Anti-Cheat. Read the safety page

That is an Intel UHD 620 laptop before and after switching Fortnite to Performance mode, from Epic's own help article. Not our number, and not a promise. It shows how much one forgotten setting can cost, and finding those settings is what Framewise does.
Framewise reads your Fortnite settings file, your Windows power, capture and notification settings, your GPU driver version and what is running in the background. It doesn't open the game.
Each suggestion comes with a plain-English reason and an expected impact. Tick the ones you want and press Apply. A backup is made first, every time.
Play a match. Framewise records frame times with Windows event tracing, the method behind Intel's open-source PresentMon, then shows you the before and after.
| Tool | What it does | Where it acts |
|---|---|---|
| Fortnite presets | Sets rendering mode, view distance, shadows, effects and the frame-rate cap for Competitive, Balanced or Low-spec laptop play. | Your settings file |
| Frame-time meter | Shows 1% lows and spikes, not just average FPS. Records with Windows event tracing, with no overlay inside the game. | Windows only |
| Background pause | Pauses the apps you choose, such as sync clients, launchers and browsers, while a match is running. | Windows only |
| Windows tune-up | Power plan, Game Mode, Game Bar capture and Focus notifications, each with the reason it matters. | Windows only |
| Connection check | Measures jitter and packet loss on your own network and tells you plainly whether Wi-Fi is the problem. | Your network |
| Driver and cache check | Shows your GPU driver version with a link to NVIDIA, AMD or Intel, and clears the DirectX shader cache when it grows large. | Windows only |

Override runs until 1 November 2026, per Epic's Battle Pass page. It is 08:00 in New York right now.
Final Override update: new Sprites and Loot Hacks. Our presets needed no change.
Fortnitemares 2026 arrives. Presets re-tested on the updated map.
It now chooses a DirectX path for your device, so Framewise no longer forces one.
Old DX11 presets now map to Performance mode.
Framewise never reads or writes Fortnite's memory, never injects code and never touches game files other than your own settings file, which is the same file the in-game Video menu writes. It also never interacts with Easy Anti-Cheat. We can't speak for Epic's enforcement decisions, but the app is designed to stay entirely outside the game process.
We don't promise a number, because it depends on your hardware, your current settings and the match. On a PC that is already tuned, the gain may be close to zero. On a laptop running Fortnite in DirectX 12 on high presets, switching to Performance mode alone can make a large difference: Epic's own example shows an Intel UHD 620 laptop going from 24 to 61 FPS. Framewise measures your frame times before and after, so you can see the real result on your machine.
No. Framewise is a Windows 10 and Windows 11 app for Fortnite installed on the same PC.
Nothing during the public beta. If we introduce a paid plan later, the features you used in the beta will stay free, and we will announce any change by email at least 30 days in advance.
No. Framewise runs locally. The only thing we ever receive is your email address if you join the beta list, and an anonymous crash report if you choose to send one.
Open Restore and press Restore all. Framewise keeps a backup of your Fortnite settings file and a log of every Windows setting it changed, with the original value next to each one.
We ship builds in small waves so we can answer every bug report. Leave your email and your hardware, and we'll send a download link when your wave opens. One email per build, nothing else.
